What This Counter Shows You
This tool returns the follower count Facebook itself displays publicly on a Page or profile — the same number you'd see by visiting the account directly, just without the extra clicks.
Followers vs. Page Likes.
These aren't the same stat. Liking a Page used to automatically make someone a follower, so the two numbers stayed close together on older Pages. That's no longer guaranteed — people can follow a Page without liking it, or like it and later unfollow, so the gap between the two numbers can grow over time, especially on newer Pages where the Follow button gets more attention than Like.
Page followers vs. profile followers.
A business or public-figure Page always shows a public follower count. A personal profile only shows one if its owner has turned on the "Follow" feature and made it visible to non-friends — common among creators and public figures who want an audience without adding everyone as a friend. If a profile hasn't enabled that, or is private, there's no public number to show, and the tool will say so rather than guessing.
Why Facebook Follower Counts Change
A follower total is constantly shifting. New accounts raise the figure while existing ones lower it by unfollowing, deactivating, or being removed for violating Facebook's terms. Facebook also periodically removes fake, duplicate, and long-inactive accounts from its platform, which can cause a sudden but harmless drop that has nothing to do with the page owner's actions. Regular posting and engagement with comments helps attract new followers over time. A trending post or a mention from a larger page can cause a rapid spike, though the effect often fades. Occasionally, a rise occurs when duplicate pages are merged and their combined audiences are reflected in the total. Short-term hourly changes are usually minor — weekly intervals tend to show more meaningful trends.
How Accurate Is a Fbviddl Follower Counter?
Any follower counter can only work with the number Facebook makes publicly available. Facebook does not always update its displayed count immediately after someone follows or unfollows an account, so any third-party tool will reflect the same delay. A counter may be very close to the actual number but is unlikely to be identical at all times. If different counters show slightly different numbers for the same account, this is normal — each tool fetches the figure at a different moment. No counter can access private or restricted information. FBviddl's follower counter depends entirely on the public number Facebook exposes.
When Checking Follower Counts Is Useful
Tracking follower counts has practical applications beyond simple curiosity. Page admins and creators use it to understand audience trends without having to log into Facebook's analytics tools. Marketing professionals check competitor and partner pages to inform campaign planning, as follower count gives a rough indication of a page's reach. Some people check out of general interest — the follower count of a business, a public figure, or their own page after it receives some visibility.
What This Counter Can't Do
It can't see private accounts, friend counts, or who followed/unfollowed a specific account — Facebook doesn't make that information available to outside tools, and no counter, including this one, can bypass that. It also doesn't keep a history of past counts; it reports what's public right now.
